The Sr. Sourcing Manager will provide overall direction to the sourcing team supporting the Grid Automation (GA) strategic business union of Hubbell Utility Solutions. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Sourcing Managers, Sourcing Specialists and Sourcing Agents. The role will be accountable to deliver on the Material Cost Reduction targets for the GA BU. The role will serve as liaison between Strategic Sourcing and the BU to ensure BU requirements are met and category strategies resolve BU problems.
The role will be accountable for on‑time delivery of the projects and on‑ground execution of the category strategy. Secondly, this role will be responsible for developing and leading a supplier sole source de‑risk strategy. This position will report to the Senior Director, Sourcing HUS.
Direct day‑to‑day responsibility for managing and supporting the efforts of a Sourcing Manager responsible for their respective commodities. This will include working with the internal Strategic Business Unit stakeholders on productivity improvement strategies as well as the ongoing Supply Chain performance management and improvement.
Develop and execute risk‑reducing direct material sourcing strategies for Hubbell Utility Solutions. Primary focus will be the review of casting, forging, stamping, electronics and fiberglass product spend by region and determining action plans to reduce risk while considering total cost of ownership. In addition, this role will provide leadership to the Hubbell Utility Solutions organization and coordinate with Hubbell Corporate Sourcing to develop best cost options for supply.
Workload and strategy creation will be balanced across multiple Hubbell Utility Systems Business Units to create optimum risk reduction.
- BS in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Engineering
- 5-10 years validated experience or training/equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working with manufacturing engineering and program management teams.
- Experience in negotiation internal and external to a matrixed corporate environment.
- Materials management, JIT, TCO, and Working Capital.
- CPSM or APICS certification a plus.
