Position Purpose

As the Transportation Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team of 3 supervisors, 6 transportation staff, and approximately 45 drivers. Your focus will be on building strong relationships, strategic project planning, and executing initiatives that enhance operational efficiencies and documentation processes. Flexibility is essential, as you will be expected to cover weekends, lead driver meetings outside regular hours, and respond to emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and oversee all transportation functions to ensure timely and safe customer service.
  • Collaborate with routing and sales teams to optimize operations and improve service delivery.
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers, addressing feedback and complaints effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards, maintaining safety records for all drivers.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, encouraging employee involvement and problem-solving.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in multi-stop dispatch operations and supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation equipment and vehicle operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
