The Chief Transformation Officer will help UConn develop the resources needed for generational transformation, supporting the long‑term impact of its Envision 2034 strategic plan.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the inaugural Chief Transformation Officer, reporting to the President and working within a strong leadership team.
  • Act as a strategic leader for enterprise transformation, operational excellence, and administrative modernization across the university.
  • Advance the university’s strategic priorities with responsibility for functional line operations and enhance organizational agility by leading cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Examine institutional strategic and operational priorities and execute a roadmap for the implementation of the Envision 2034 plan, prioritizing holistic student success, access, and research impact.
  • Work through influence, empowering unit‑level leaders to drive institutional effectiveness, stability, transparency, and strategic growth.
  • Build relationships and enhance communication across the complex, multi‑campus enterprise.
  • Identify gaps in infrastructure, cost‑saving and revenue‑generating opportunities, and create incentive structures that reward impact.
  • Cultivate operational effectiveness and efficiency, delivering top‑notch value for students while reducing redundancy and eliminating silos.
  • Partner with the provost and Chief Financial Officer to support the university’s budget transformation initiative, examining finances, revenues, and distribution of shared resources across campuses.
