Job Summary

Pratt & Whitney’s Program Planning & Scheduling (PP&S) organization is seeking a Planning Manager to support the F135 Production contracts. The role involves managing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring schedule quality, and providing consulting support to program stakeholders, earned‑value teams, and cost account managers to promote the IMS as a healthy integrated management tool.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of program schedulers and planners to deliver high‑quality scheduling support.
  • Provide consulting support to embed scheduling best practices into program plans.
  • Foster collaboration with cost analysts to produce valuable program analyses for decision‑making.
  • Ensure schedule compliance with program requirements and earned‑value policy, including vertical and horizontal linkage, critical‑path analysis, baseline change management, and health assessments.
  • Execute contract program deliverables such as IPMR and schedule risk assessments on time.
  • Develop and maintain program scheduling procedures and standard work, continuously expanding knowledge and training skills to enhance team innovation and productivity.
Core Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of program‑planning experience or advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience using logic‑driven scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Open Plan).
  • Experience analyzing IMS quality (e.g., DCMA 14‑point, DCMA DECM) and producing valid critical paths.
  • Proficiency in root‑cause analysis for variance recovery.
  • Knowledge of integrated cost/schedule techniques and application to DoD reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop talent, drive team performance, and influence program customers on earned‑value and scheduling principles.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Familiar with NDIA’s Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide.
  • Experience with government compliance programs and DoD Earned Value Management System Interpretation Guide.
  • Experience using Monte Carlo schedule risk simulators (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Fuse).
  • Understanding of systems/project engineering concepts and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, self‑motivated, with strong creative problem‑solving, collaboration, critical thinking, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to obtain a government‑issued security clearance (if required).
