Machine Operator 1

Location:

Pratt & Whitney, Asheville, NC. Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00PM to 6:30AM (AWW2).

• Operate a variety of production machines, including working on the blades grinding line.
• Perform routine operations and quality checks on blades and other components.
• Follow work instructions, operation sheets, and drawings to produce precise parts.
• Use advanced shop mathematics, decimals, fractions, and precision measuring instruments.
• Demonstrate understanding of quality and production standards.
• Apply knowledge of cutting qualities of metal, machining, fabrication, and tooling.
• Adapt to shift work and be available for overtime, including training on 1st shift, 2nd shift, or AWW1 if needed.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens can access information under this contract.
• Previous manufacturing experience or education, or an advanced manufacturing certification.
• At least 2 years of experience as a machine operator or in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of metal cutting, machining methods, fabrication, and tooling.
• Ability to work with drawings, sketches, and precision measuring instruments.
