This hands‑on role involves producing precision components, tooling, prototypes, and production parts using a variety of manual and CNC machines. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, experienced with a wide range of shop equipment, and thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment where quality and craftsmanship are valued.

• Good organizational, work planning and documentation skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes
• Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, and visual comparators to evaluate critical drawing dimensions
• Operate common machine shop equipment including manual lathes, Proto TRAK CNC Milling Machines, Proto TRAK CNC Turning Machines, horizontal, and vertical band saws
• Operate your machines to grind, cut, and polish the materials
• Finish projects using manual tools
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure they remain in good working order

• Minimum 10 years of related experience
• Machinist vocational certificate or completed industry apprenticeship
• Manual dexterity and high attention to detail
• Lathe machining experience
• Quality mindset with
• Blueprinting reading skills and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Physical Demands:

• Standing, walking, climbing/balancing, stooping/twisting, kneeling, push/pull, reaching, gripping, keyboarding, pinching, neck rotation/extension, foot use, visual acuity (near/far).
• Lift/Carry: up to 10 lbs occasional; 11–25 lbs occasional; 26–50 lbs occasional; 51–75 lbs occasional; 76–100 lbs occasional; over 100 lbs occasional.
• Uneven ground, exposure to dust/fumes, exposure to biohazards, extreme temperatures, exposure to hazards, working at heights, working with machinery.
• Mental demands: organization, reasoning/decision making, communication, resilience.

Industrial shop setting. Dust, dirt, metal debris from manufacturing will be encountered. Moderate levels of noise will be encountered.
