Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and clean laser fusion optics in accordance with established best practices.
  • Perform manual and ultrasonic cleaning, inspection, and handling of optical components.
  • Load components onto standard, custom, or improvised fixtures and operate optics manufacturing equipment (e.g., grinder, polisher, chemical baths, CNC).
  • Collaborate with engineering to develop and optimize optics manufacturing processes.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain manufacturing equipment to ensure product quality.
  • Support the creation, revision, and adherence to optical work instructions.
  • Test optical components using various metrology equipment and accurately document results.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as needed.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • High School Diploma or GED;
    Associate degree preferred.
  • 3‑5 years of hands‑on production manufacturing/operations experience or knowledge of mechanics, chemical handling/epoxies, or electronics.
  • Enjoys hands‑on work and takes pride in craftsmanship.
  • Solid mathematical and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, written specifications, and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, patience, persistence, and attention to detail for handling delicate optical components.
  • Collaborative team player with a focus on problem‑solving.
  • Initiative and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Organized, conscientious, and quality‑focused.
  • Computer skills for data entry, documentation, and communication.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 70 lbs and standing for extended periods.
  • Driven to achieve with a commitment to quality and a safety‑first mindset.
  • Resilient, resourceful, and responsive.
Compensation

Hourly Employee Type USD 50,000‑65,000. Incentive:
None.
