ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Floor Supervision (35%) – Review silo & raw materials levels, coordinate with production schedule, inspect lines, and ensure employees have tools, work orders and wear proper PPE.

Housekeeping (5%) – Maintain worksite cleanliness, sweep, vacuum, remove debris, and empty dust collector drums.

Staging and Shift Handoff (5%) – Lead shift meeting, prepare materials for next shift, and provide a shift summary report including productivity, downtime and quality concerns via email.

Quality Control (5%) – Verify raw materials are not expired, follow correct formulas, sample QC, adjust batches, and ensure final product meets specifications.

Equipment & Materials (5%) – Escalate maintenance needs, shortages, failures, and required repairs.

Leadership (25%) – Attend cross‑functional meetings, review timecards, allocate work, define responsibilities, manage and develop staff, train new members, and maintain required trainings; assess and reward performance, build team culture, and communicate updates.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years plant experience
Ability to use math for basic weights in formulas
Read and interpret directions and order details
Communicate in writing and verbally
Proficiency with plant equipment or equivalent experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Experience with ERP system (preferably JD Edwards)
Ability to learn new computer skills and programs

Education and Experience

Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
