This role can be a career position in a stable work environment or the beginning of a career in paper manufacturing; we will train. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient raw material preparation for the manufacturing of recycled paper.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Repetitively unload trucks in accordance with established company standards.
- Operate a forklift in accordance with standards and expectations presented in training.
- Enter all bale movements in the current computer/trucking system and publish inventory numbers.
- Inspect all bales that are unloaded from the trailers and when loading the conveyor.
- Use a good mix of bales when loading the conveyor.
- Help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals.
- Cut beater stock with roll splitter or saw.
- Clean and maintain the loading area, keeping the work area clean throughout the shift.
- Conduct a maintenance and safety check for the forklift at the beginning and end of each assigned shift.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Perform special projects and assignments as business dictates.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Good computer skills; ability to track inventory in a computer.
- Ability to communicate with all team members, adhere to safety regulations, and work as a team player.
- Organized and detail‑oriented.
- Ability to multitask in an environment with frequent changing priorities.
- Ability to operate a forklift, clamp truck, and/or bobcat.
- Ability to meet company quality and performance standards for the job as specified.
- Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota.
- Must be able to adhere to process protocol and apply established protocols in a timely manner.

The role requires repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stopping, and pulling). The employee must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Work EnvironmentThe employee will work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments. Willingness and ability to work in confined spaces and at heights is required. A tobacco‑free environment is maintained. The employee must be willing and able to wear safety glasses, earplugs, hard hat, steel‑toe boots, and any other required PPE.
