CNC MACHINIST

Job Responsibilities:

** Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
** Operator Machinist

Job Duties:

** Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.

Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.

Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Experience with Mazak, milling work, lathe, and fryer is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

US Citizenship is required per DoD requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic understanding of CNC machining processes and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Familiarity with measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers and micrometers.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical degree or certification in CNC machining or a related field.

Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of programming CNC machines using G-code or similar languages.

Experience with quality control processes and inspection techniques.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC machines according to established procedures and specifications.

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining operations.

Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.

Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.

Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any defects encountered.
