The Fabrication Operator is responsible for following the training parameters to become competent in fabricating and assembling parts from extruded product to the customer’s specifications using fixtures, hand tools, and power tools.
Responsibilities :
The Fabrication Operator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, learning the process to:
Operate various heating, forming, splicing, and punching machines
Perform general assembly as needed
Make limited adjustments to equipment, as authorized
Form plastic tubing using heat panels and ovens
Cut plastic tubing to size using automated cutters per quality specifications
Inspect product (using gauges/fixtures) for quality and conformance to specifications
Prepare product for shipping, including assembling boxes, packing, and labeling product
Responsible for accurate production reporting
Keep equipment and work area clean
Required Qualifications :
To qualify for the Fabrication Operator position, the candidate is required to have:
Hand-eye coordination
Basic math skills
Prior manufacturing experience is preferred
Ability to stand for up to long periods of time
