Production Planner Scheduler in Centerbrook

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler to develop and manage production schedules that support customer demand, inventory objectives, and operational efficiency. This position plays a critical role in coordinating production activities, balancing capacity and material availability, and ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.

• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
• Release and prioritize work orders based on production capacity, inventory levels, and delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment of production plans.
• Review inventory levels and material requirements to support production continuity and service goals.
• Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
• Communicate schedule changes, risks, and recovery plans to key stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of production planning, scheduling, or supply chain experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
• Experience in discrete manufacturing or make-to-order and make-to-stock environments.
