Admissions Nurse (RN)
The Admissions Nurse (RN) will provide initial client assessment and screening for admission to the Detox Unit. Monday-Friday

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess clients thoroughly for admission.
- Accurately transcribe and implement physician's orders.
- Assess clients withdrawing from substances using facility approved assessment scales.
- Develop appropriate and effective initial treatment plans for all active problems identified in the admission nursing assessment.
- Accurately complete medication reconciliations upon admission.
- Educate clients on medications, health maintenance, substance abuse, and other applicable topics.
- Perform searches of clients upon admission.
- Communicate client medical and behavioral changes and any special precautions to appropriate clinical and medical staff for ongoing intervention.
- Act as liaison between members of the Clinical Team and Medical Departments.
- Document in client medical record in an accurate and timely manner, according to facility requirements.

Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing with a current State of Connecticut R.N. License. Minimum of one year experience working in the Mental Health or Substance Abuse field preferred.
