About This Role

The Travel RN position at Northwell Health involves providing comprehensive nursing care for a designated group of patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role is ideal for experienced RNs who are adaptable and skilled in various specialties.

• Assess the patient's physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition.
• Communicate and document patient's physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Assess patient’s psychosocial health status.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities.
• Implement the plan of care while ensuring safety precautions.
• Evaluate care provided for patient outcomes.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

• Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required.
• BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
