Join our team and experience endless career possibilities if you are an existing team member, please click the following link to be taken to the internal career site: mohegan internal career sitejob description position summary:this position is responsible for performing all grounds related tasks on the mohegan sun and tribal properties as directed by the groundskeeping supervisory team.primary duties and responsibilities: includes but not limited to:completes landscaping assignments including planting, fertilizing, weeding, mowing, mulching, and shrub/tree pruningremoves snow on roadways, walkways and doorways by shoveling, plowing and ice treatmentsoperates various vehicles and equipment including skid steers, sweepers, scrubbers, plow trucks, atv’s mowers, trimmers, chain saws, edgers, hedge trimmers, backpack blowers, mulch blowing machines, curbing machines and power washersresponsible for power washing all designated locationssecondary duties and responsibilities:assists in maintenance of irrigation systemsassists other trades, as neededresponsible for all departmental logs/record keeping labor recording and adheres to all grounds policies and guidelines pertinent to day- to-day job dutiesminimum education and qualifications:high school diploma or equivalentfour years of experience operating equipment such as parking lot sweepers, lawn mowers, snow plows, tractors and related equipment and various gas powered landscaping toolsmust have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the company carriercompetencies: incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:good written and verbal communication skillsmaintains a clean and safe work environmenttraining requirements:knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and routine maintenancemandated safety classesknowledge of all engineering and grounds related policies and guidelines physical demands and work environment:must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and coldfrequent bending, stooping, reaching and climbing of laddersmust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.must
