We are seeking an energetic and customer-service-oriented Animal Care/Adoption Technician to join our team. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide daily care and enrichment for animals while also helping connect pets with loving homes and supporting people through the adoption and surrender process.

No two days are exactly alike! From walking dogs and socializing cats to assisting families with adoptions, supporting animal intake, and participating in daily cleaning, you’ll play an important role in helping animals and people.

  • Cleaning and maintaining kennels, cat areas, and small animal enclosures
  • Monitoring animals and reporting changes in health or behavior
  • Providing enrichment, socialization, and basic training to help animals thrive
  • Assisting with intake evaluation
  • Creating and maintaining accurate animal records and completing data entry
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming shelter environment

You will also be an important part of sending our animals home, by working directly with customers and visitors.

Help Pets Find Their Perfect Match

You will:

  • Assist customers through the pet adoption and surrender process
  • Educate and counsel prospective adopters about responsible pet ownership
  • Provide information about individual animals, species, and breed characteristics
  • Answer incoming phone calls, provide basic shelter information, and direct callers to the appropriate team members
