Quality Manager - Advanced Casting Foundry; Onsite

Pratt & Whitney is constructing an Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) within its Asheville, NC factory. We are seeking an experienced Quality Leader to provide strategic, technical and operational support for the new ACF.

• Drive culture of compliance through strong collaboration with Operations and Manufacturing teams.
• Lead the build out and proficiency development of the Quality team, including Quality Engineering, Inspection, NDT, Gage Calibration, Metrology, MCL, MRB, Audit & Quality Clinic.
• Obtain necessary resources (equipment, manpower, etc.) to meet short‑ and long‑term goals.
• Identify and establish required QMS improvements to support this product line.
• Make day‑to‑day operational decisions and allocate resources to meet customer demand.
• Lead Process Improvement opportunities using DMAIC, CORE and Lean strategies to enhance quality, reduce cycle time and operational costs.
• Provide technical expertise on non‑conforming material and support communication and processing of quality notifications through the MRB process.
• Collaborate with operations and materials teams to ensure alignment with customer demand.
• Define and implement plans to support business objectives, including Quality, CORE and financial metrics.
• Provide effective communication to ensure alignment as a leader within the Quality and ACF organizations.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience.

• Knowledgeable in AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Proficient in quality tools such as FAI, PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T.
• Pratt & Whitney quality system experience.
• Experience in root‑cause corrective action and eliminating non‑conformances.
• Experience with DMAIC, CORE, Six Sigma or other Lean systems.

• Salary range: $157,200 – $298,800 USD.
