Community Assistant

The Community Assistant is responsible for all aspects of leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations at a property.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Property leasing and administration
  • Regular/daily onsite attendance required
  • Show, lease, and move in prospective residents; greet, qualify, tour the community, and sign a lease
  • Conduct all functions necessary to close the sale, including making appointments, generating new leads, maintaining model units, and following up as needed
  • Complete all leasing paperwork prior to move‑in
  • Assist with lease audits, walking units, and turnover processes
  • Maintain accurate prospect traffic and leasing data, responding to prospect leads within 24 hours
  • Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic and achieve leasing goals
  • Perform various administrative tasks as needed
  • Handle resident complaints, concerns, and requests to ensure resident satisfaction
  • Assist in developing and implementing resident retention programs (e.g., resident functions, special promotions, monthly newsletter)
  • Contribute to the general upkeep and cleaning of office, common areas, and model units
  • Marketing & outreach activities including implementing the annual marketing plan and reviewing market surveys/analysis to generate ideas and formulate plans
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property, competition, and market conditions; complete weekly market survey reports
  • Manage excellent customer service and monitor service‑request turnaround and responsiveness
  • Project a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition
  • Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters
  • Enforce community policies delegated by the immediate supervisor
Education / Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic computer skills required to perform all on‑site software functions
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly stand, use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear
  • Frequently walk and sit; occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Compensation & Benefits

At Asset Living, a variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill set, background, training, and certifications. When selecting the top candidate, the offer we extend is dependent on the facts associated with each specific individual’s relevant experience for the role. The employee’s salary is complemented by a comprehensive total rewards package, which includes medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and commission and performance bonuses, when applicable.

Full‑time employees also receive paid sick days and company holidays.

Salary Range
: $16.35 per hour to $16.94 per hour
