Bachelor Or Master Thesis In The Field Of Heterogeneous Catalysis
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft () is one of the world's leading organizations for applied research. 74 institutes develop groundbreaking technologies for our economy and society – specifically: 30,000 people from technology, science, administration, and IT. They know: those who come to Fraunhofer want and can make a difference. For themselves, for us, and for the markets of today and tomorrow. WE RESEARCH FOR A HEALTHY WORLD – AND OFFER DIVERSE OPPORTUNITIES.
CHANGE STARTS WITH US. At the Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Chemistry and Bioprocess Engineering IGB, we combine biology and technology for health, nutrition, sustainable chemistry, the environment, and climate protection. We develop processes, technologies, and products for patient-oriented health care, a sustainable bioeconomy, as well as a climate-neutral and resource-efficient circular economy and bring new solutions successfully into industrial implementation.
We research at the locations Stuttgart, Biberach, Leuna, and Straubing and in close connection with numerous universities and research institutions in Germany and abroad. Here you will make a difference.
Your role includes the preparation, characterization, and testing of heterogeneous catalysts for ammonia synthesis. Applying reaction engineering principles, you will evaluate the performance of heterogeneous catalysts in both batch and continuous reactors. Analytical techniques such as GC, HPLC, and NMR will enable you to assess the experimental results. You will prepare your results scientifically and present them.
What we offer you
- Cutting-edge research in a wide variety of pioneering projects that advance society and the economy – and you yourself
- A varied, creative, and interdisciplinary working environment in a friendly team, with the assurance that your colleagues are always there to support you
- Support from scientists who work on industrial projects and collaboration with a group of students from around the world
