Global Partners is looking for a Food Service Supervisor / Deli Lead. The Fresh Food Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising all activities in the deli and food service department and its personnel to achieve merchandising, sales, and guest service goals established for the department.
Your Role, Your Impact- Direct department personnel, meeting department goals and objectives, communicating directly with store management and department supervisors.
- Select, onboard, and coach all new team members.
- Schedule all team members.
- Provide product information, selling suggestions, active sampling, and genuine thank‑you gestures.
- Take guest orders, ensure orders are completed on time and to the guest’s satisfaction.
- Ensure department personnel follow all county, city, and company food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
- Order products and supplies necessary to maintain adequate stock levels and keep merchandising at prescribed standards.
- Oversee preparation and serving/merchandising of deli and food service items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees, fried foods, pizzas, prepared salads, soups, sandwiches, rocker grill items, hot and cold beverages, and snack items.
- Display deli and food service items according to department and company merchandising guidelines.
- Follow product recipes without deviation.
- Rotate deli/food service items for sale, ensuring quality, safety, and product shrink control.
- Receive merchandise, audit invoices, break down orders, and position cases in refrigerated walk‑in coolers and frozen food walk‑ins/freezers.
- Periodically count product for inventory purposes.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Process cash register transactions, give change, and issue refunds.
- Use scale printer machine, ensuring correct weights and pricing.
- Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, using shelf tags and shelf signage.
- Maintain clean, neat, and orderly sales counters, food prep areas, warehouse shelving, and walk‑in coolers/freezers.
- Ensure all personnel use proper safety equipment and procedures.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.
- Handle deli ingredients, including meats, vegetables, fruits, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and assist other locations as needed.
- At least 2 years of prior experience in a fresh food environment, preferably in a managerial role.
- Reliable transportation and an active driver’s license.
- Serv Safe certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Experience working in walk‑in coolers and freezers.
- Able to stand for long periods, bend and twist below waist, frequently lift merchandise, and reach above shoulder height.
- Dexterous with hands and fingers, able to use knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers, and rotisseries.
- Vocational or Technical
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Pay Range: $18.44 - $21.44. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time.
