Responsible for supporting the School Cafeteria Manager and providing assistance in the operation and functions of the cafeteria in compliance with mandated USDA and health department requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist the Cafeteria Manager, as directed, to prepare and serve a daily menu.
- Assists in preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
- Assists in the daily set-up and breakdown of kitchen and service area.
- Adheres to all sanitation and health codes governing personal appearance and food handling, including duties related to proper storage of food, and use of equipment and supplies.
- Assists in the receiving of food and supply deliveries.
- Carries out cashiering and related duties.
- Knowledge of and ability to order food items and supplies, etc.
