POSITION: SUBSTITUTE CAFETERIA MANAGER
Location: Cornwall Consolidated School, West Cornwall, CT

Region One School District is seeking a dependable, organized, and caring individual to serve as a Substitute Cafeteria Manager at Cornwall Consolidated School. This position provides as-needed coverage when the regular Cafeteria Manager is unavailable and helps ensure students continue to receive nutritious meals in a welcoming, well-run cafeteria.

As a Substitute Cafeteria Manager, you will:

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and portion guidelines;
• Oversee daily cafeteria operations during the absence of the Cafeteria Manager;
• Follow established food safety, sanitation, and meal service procedures;
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and food service area;
• Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment;
• Monitor food temperatures and complete required food service documentation;
• Receive, organize, and properly store food and supplies;
• Follow established procedures for meal counts, point-of-sale operations, and other required records;
• Provide friendly and professional service to students and staff; and
• Perform other food service duties as needed to support cafeteria operations.

Candidates should:

• Pick up and deliver meals for service to students;
• Prepare supplemental food items, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, as needed;
• Set up and organize the cafeteria for meal service;
• Serve meals to students in accordance with established portions and procedures;
• Follow established food safety, sanitation, and meal service procedures;
• Monitor and record food temperatures as required;
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and food service area;
• Follow established procedures for meal counts, point-of-sale operations, and required records;
• Properly store food, supplies, and equipment;
• Provide friendly and professional service to students and staff;
• Complete end-of-service cleanup and closing procedures; and
• Perform other duties as needed to support cafeteria operations.

The Substitute Cafeteria Manager works as needed during the school year at Cornwall Consolidated School to provide coverage when the regular Cafeteria Manager is unavailable.

Hourly Rate: $20.50 per hour
