Join our team and experience endless career possibilities if you are an existing team member, please click the following link to be taken to the internal career site: mohegan internal career site position summary:this position is responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to department policies, procedures, and steps of service during the hours designated as ‘twilight’primary duties and responsibilities: includes but not limited to:responsible for the handling of payment in cash outlets, per established check tendering proceduresclears glassware, ashtrays and debris in assigned pit areaconsistently applies knowledge of all legal beverage service guidelinessecondary duties and responsibilities:maintains a clean and sanitary work environment, according to department policies and proceduresadvises and assists guests in beverage selectionsminimum education and qualifications:previous experience with serving cocktails or as a waiter or waitress or comparable customer service related job competencies: incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:good written and verbal communication skills strong organizational and multi-tasking skills excellent knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes and all beverage service techniques knowledge of drinks and recipes and ability to use endorsements at appropriate service opportunitiesskills in proper tray preparation and handlingproficiency in ordering beverages utilizing the proper established call orderability to adapt to new industry technology excellent knowledge of the overall property and gaming floor excellent knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shutoff procedure straining requirements:outlet-specific standard operating proceduressmart alcohol awarenessestablished beverage server training and shadowing program physical demands and work environment:must be able to stand and walk large areas for an entire shiftmust be able to bend and lift full beverage trays of up to 25 lbs.must
