Join our team and experience endless career possibilities if you are an existing team member, please click the following link to be taken to the internal career site: mohegan internal career site position summary:this position is responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with established department policies, procedures and steps of service.primary duties and responsibilities: includes but not limited to:takes drink orders from the guests and delivers them in a timely manner, following the established steps of service clears dirty glassware, plates and silverware from the patrons consistently applies knowledge of the state liquor laws, proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shut off procedures sets up dining room, lounges and other operational stations according to established procedures secondary duties and responsibilities:assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the outlet assists the bartender, as needed performs opening and closing duties communicates with management on inventory and maintenance needs minimum education and qualifications:experience in bartending or serving cocktails in a full service restaurant, lounge or showroom/nightclub competencies: incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:excellent written and verbal communication skills excellent knowledge of operational policies with regard to hours of operation, types of menus offered, restaurant concepts and marketing programs thorough working knowledge of all legal beverage service guidelines and state liquor laws including proper identification, refusal of service and shut off procedures skills in proper tray handling, ordering and garnishing of all beverage straining requirements:outlet-specific standard operating procedures smart alcohol awareness physical demands and work environment:must be able to stand for extended periods of timemust be able to bend and lift full beverage trays of up to 25 lbs.must
