The position involves providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. Cashiers process Checkout and/or Return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier positions Cashiers and supports them by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.

They provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates by participating in the training of new Cashiers and using available tools to coach and develop others. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Cashier experience.

• Cashiers provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service; process Checkout and/or Return transactions; monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area; seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities; follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
• Head Cashier duties include expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns for various areas and assisting in supervision, coaching and training of Front End Associates.

• Preferred: 1+ years of Cashier experience (as noted for Head Cashier).
