Location: Lisbon

Position Summary

Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signage, appropriate inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting, and assessing economic trends and community needs.

Model and enforce proper customer/member service approaches and techniques, resolving complaints and issues within company guidelines.

Oversee the implementation and participation in community outreach programs, encouraging associates to serve as good members of the community.

Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational and quality assurance reviews, and developing action plans to improve performance.

Provide direction and guidance to Associates on implementing Company programs and strategic initiatives, ensuring confidentiality of information and documentation, and supervising, developing, training, mentoring, recognizing, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.

Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members Customers selecting products based on Member Customer needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining Optical equipment.

Uphold the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing Company policies, suggesting resolutions, coordinating and overseeing job‑related activities, developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and building accountability.

Support the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and applying these in business processes and practices.

Promote a culture of belonging by building high‑performing teams, embracing differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences, creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.

Qualifications
  • Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
