Diesel Mechanic Class B Technician; 3rd Shift

Position Details: $31.78 - $41.33 per hour depending on experience. Sign On Bonus: $2,500. 4 Day Work Week! (Thursday– Saturday 5:30 pm – 5:30 am and Wednesday 11:30 pm - 5:30 am). Benefits:

Perform preventative maintenance of medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and converter dolly under minimal supervision. Ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations, document work orders, and perform road call services as needed.

• Complete preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard component inspections/repairs of fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and identify root causes of basic failures and perform repairs.
• Ensure equipment is roadworthy with required licensing and registration.
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other key parts and replace as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, lubricating equipment, and using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required

Education:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.

Required Experience:

2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel work, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and A/C refrigeration.
