Job Overview

This role is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient operation of club gyms. Responsibilities include repair and maintenance of fitness equipment, routine facility upkeep, and applying fundamental knowledge in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and flooring. The role reports directly to the Regional Director.

What You Will Do
  • Repair and maintain fitness equipment across multiple facilities.
  • Perform electrical maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, wiring, circuit breakers, and fuses.
  • Carry out carpentry and construction tasks such as sanding, painting, and general woodwork.
  • Complete plumbing repairs including toilets, faucets, and leak fixes.
  • Conduct general facility repairs including doors, locks, tiles, staining, polishing floors, and more.
  • Work with cleaning solutions and ensure safe, efficient, and methodical upkeep of facilities.
  • Regularly inspect buildings, fitness equipment, and systems to identify potential issues and safety hazards.
  • Safely operate power tools, climb ladders, and move equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Promptly respond to maintenance requests submitted via the Service Channel ticketing platform.
  • Effectively assess and prioritize work based on urgency and facility needs while maintaining clear communication with the team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support general upkeep tasks such as cleaning, minor painting or carpentry projects.
  • Occasionally support outdoor tasks including landscaping, sidewalks, and snow removal as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and perform necessary repairs.
  • Provide support and collaborate with internal teams and vendors on larger projects such as equipment extractions, installations, new club openings, as needed.
  • Participate in training sessions to improve technical skills and knowledge.
  • Drive to and from multiple locations within the assigned region as needed.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of handy work, facilities repair, or related maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of equipment repair, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility upkeep. Fitness equipment experience is a plus.
  • Performed basic cleaning and upkeep duties to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook) and comfortable working with computers, including preventive maintenance system.
  • Successfully worked both independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals.
  • Values teamwork, excellence, accountability, and being member‑focused.
  • Physically capable of repetitive tasks such as bending, climbing, lifting, and moving equipment.
  • Works methodically and independently.
  • Has a clean driving record.
  • Mentally alert, able to quickly learn new tasks and troubleshoot, completing assignments safely.
  • Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks, pivot on the fly, and get things done.
  • Team player who treats colleagues and members with respect and promotes a safe, cooperative work environment.
Additional Notes
  • Travel:
    Travel to all clubs in the district; may require overnight stays; occasional assistance at other locations or regions based on business needs. Reliable transportation required when company vehicles are not provided.
  • Work Location:

    Primarily in a gym/fitness environment; exposure to cleaning agents, dust, noise, and changing temperatures is expected.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to talk and hear, sit, stand, use hands and fingers, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds; occasionally lift objects up to 100+ pounds.
