Join our team and experience endless career possibilities if you are an existing team member, please click the following link to be taken to the internal career site: mohegan internal career sitejob description primary duties and responsibilities: includes but not limited to:repairs and maintains air handlers, exhaust and supply fans and their appurtenant equipmenttroubleshoots repairs and maintains refrigeration equipment and systemstests electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipmentinstalls, connects and adjusts thermostats, humidistat and timerssecondary duties and responsibilities:assembles, positions and mounts heating or cooling equipment following blueprintsassists with preventative maintenance records and log booksminimum education and qualifications:four years of experience in the hvac trademust possess and maintain an active state of connecticut occupational license s-2, d-2 or above as well as a minimum of a type 1 and 2 refrigerant recovery certification must pass both oral and written technical proficiency test and demonstrate skills necessary to perform job functionsmust be able to read and work from blueprintscompetencies: incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:excellent written and verbal communication skills familiarity with running building management systemstraining requirements:working knowledge of hvac including the concepts of voltage, current and power and the properties and uses of electrical componentsknowledge of the occupational hazards and safety requirements of the tradeknowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices used in the hvac tradeosha lockout/tag out proceduresspill prevention control and countermeasure trainingrespirator training and fit testedman lift training, (scissor and boom lift) forklift trainingconfined space training fall protectionphysical demands and work environment:must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and coldmust be able to lift up to 50 lbsmust be able to bend, stoop, reach and climb a laddermust be able to work various shifts and flexible hoursthis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with this job.
