Salary Range: $36,431.60 - $54,647.40

Essential Duties, Tasks, and Functions

The duties, tasks, and functions listed below combine to help define this position within the Company but should not be interpreted as exhaustive of all responsibilities the position may require.   • Assemble, install, maintain, test, and repair advanced audio, TV, video, surveillance, automation, and networked systems in primarily residential spaces.
  • Adhere to all Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Plan layout and installation of home automation systems, based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Advise management on issues that arise in installation and configuration processes of home automation systems.
  • Drive Company vehicle as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the above-listed duties, tasks, and functions.

  • Minimum of 1 year of low voltage and/or electrical experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, tools, equipment, codes, and safety procedures are required.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • The ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
  • Valid US issued Driver's License.
  • US Driving Record that passes the Company’s insurance carrier’s approval requirements to drive for the Company.
  • Ability to read and write in English proficiently, including interpreting documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in English in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds independently, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds independently, and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
