Join our team and experience endless career possibilities if you are an existing team member, please click the following link to be taken to the internal career site: mohegan internal career site position summary:this position is responsible for assisting electrical supervisor in the installation of wiring systems and electrical fixtures.primary duties and responsibilities: includes but not limited to:performs preventative maintenance and installation of electrical equipment and all associated systems and devices repairs or replaces electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using hand and power tools connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers and other components completes maintenance connection work orders secondary duties and responsibilities:tests electrical systems and continuity in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, megohmmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of the system responsible for all department logs/record keeping and labor recording pertinent to their day-to-day job duties assist other trades as necessary perform additional duties as assigned by management minimum education and qualifications:two years of experience in a licensed trade or two years schooling in appropriate field may be substituted for equivalent work experience requirements high school diploma or equivalent must be able to pass both a verbal and technical proficiency test and demonstrate skills necessary to perform specific job functions must be able to read and work from blueprints must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the company provider competencies: incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:good written and communication skillshas firm knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety requirements of the trade knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices used in the trade familiar with the running building management systems for hvac and stationary (cup) training requirements:responsible to learn to read and work from blueprintsosha lockout/tag out procedures spill prevention control and countermeasure training respirator training and fit testedman lifts training (scissor and boom lift) forklift training confined space training fall protectionmohegan sun will be offering online training to work towards the completion of your trade license.physical

demands and work environment:must be able to work in a casino environment with possible exposure to secondhand smokemust be able to stand, bend, stoop, reach and climb a ladder must be able to lift up to _50__ lbs.must be able to work various shifts and flexible hoursthis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
