Position Overview
A Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of basic/small‑scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology.
Key Job Responsibilities- Ensure flawless event execution through accurate and timely set up, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
- Exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers, maintaining positive relationships.
- Communicate with guests on site to confirm needs and verify equipment set up.
- Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency to troubleshoot equipment and software issues.
- Handle equipment challenges and changes promptly and professionally.
- Follow company processes, complete system entries and paperwork accurately.
- Use equipment sheets to determine scheduled equipment, interact with staff and vendors.
- Apply floor upselling techniques to increase revenue.
- Finalize invoices with clients and complete order entries in Navigator.
- High School Diploma required;

- 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- 1 year of audio‑visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required for team members who may operate company vehicles.
- Additional DOT requirements may need to be met if applicable.

Work is performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. Working conditions vary between moderately quiet and noisy volumes. Team members use high‑end audio‑visual equipment and electrical components and may be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations and may have irregular hours, on‑call status, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotels in that city or area.

Hourly Pay Range: $15.64 – $20.33. Compensation is based on qualifications and may include overtime, bonuses, or incentives.
