As an exclusive yachting club, we provide private and memorable outings across 35+ stunning harbors. With our expanding footprint, we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Fleet Technician to oversee the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our company-owned fleet. Our operation utilizes heavy-duty trucks, service vans and trucks, and specialized marine transport equipment.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional capable of keeping our equipment running reliably. You will work primarily with Peterbilt and Volvo trucks and specialized trailers, including lowboy marine trailers and a hydraulic boat trailer.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and schedule service on company-owned vehicles, trailers, and support equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems as needed
- Resolve emergency repairs to minimize downtime
- Perform overhaul, maintenance, and detailed troubleshooting on diesel engines, with specific expertise in Caterpillar (3406 / C15) and Volvo (D13 series) platforms.
- Inspect, service, and repair manual and automated manual transmissions
- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty drivetrain, air brake systems (ABS/conventional), steering gear, and front/rear suspension components (air ride, leaf spring, walking beam)
- Run computer diagnostics to clear fault codes, trace electrical gremlins, and make repairs
- Maintain, inspect, and repair fleet trailers, including heavy-haul marine lowboy trailers as well as hydraulic boat trailer
- Wheel end maintenance (seals, bearings, hubs), lighting/electrical repairs, and frame/structure inspections across all trailer inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment; manage shop inventory, tools, and replacement parts stock
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair documentation, and parts inventory
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience maintaining diesel and gasoline fleet vehicles or heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, trailers, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Experience in hydraulic systems
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Valid drivers license
