Lead Software Engineer

World Quant develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across a broad range of asset classes and global markets. World Quant is seeking an exceptional individual to be a key contributor to the maturation phase of several essential software systems currently in firm‑wide use. These systems are an important part of the research and production trading pipelines. Your mission will be to relentlessly improve their performance, scalability, reliability and survivability while continuing to develop features. The successful candidate will work with and provide mentorship and additional technological leadership.

• Key technologies:
  Java (and to a lesser extent Python), Distributed systems, Kafka, Big Query

• Computer Science degree (advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred, particularly with storage technologies or distributed systems)
• Extensive experience as a key contributor in the development of complex software systems (leading financial services firm experience preferred, particularly involved in high‑performance systems)

World Quant is a total compensation organization where you will be eligible for a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and benefits. The Base Pay Range for this position is $150,000 – $250,000 USD.
