Materials Management Attendant

Under the supervision of the Materials Management Supervisor, the incumbent processes and delivers requisitions submitted to the Warehouse.

• High school diploma or GED and one-year experience preferred.

• Receives items and verifies that goods meet requirements of the purchase order or market list.
• Must be able to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, reach lifts and other equipment used in Warehouse operations within six months of being hired.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form.
• May occasionally be required to type and operate basic computer software applications.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move and/or lift up to 100 pounds.
