Reporting directly to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, the Electrical & PLC Systems Supervisor’s responsibilities include:
- Apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment, and circuitry in an industrial plant setting.
- Oversee assembly and testing of experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.
- Diagnose causes of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective action.
- Develop diagrams, drawings, and specifications for modifications or expansions and direct personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties.
- Plan, direct, and record periodic testing; recommend or initiate modification or replacement of equipment as needed.
- Direct, coordinate, develop, train, coach, and assess employees.
- Support and encourage employees to work safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- Perform other job‑related duties as required or assigned.
