Maintenance Technician
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment used in the production of fabricated metal products. This role will be heavily focused on electrical troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and minimizing production downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities, experience working with industrial control systems, and the ability to diagnose equipment issues efficiently.
Candidates with PLC troubleshooting experience through HMIs and ladder logic are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, production machinery, and automated systems.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures and implement effective corrective actions.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on motors, drives, sensors, relays, VFDs, contractors, limit switches, and control circuits.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment through HMIs and ladder logic to identify faults and restore production.
- Support the installation, startup, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of a new Mazak Tube Laser system.
- Assist with troubleshooting CNC equipment, automation systems, and controls-related issues.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
Essential Skills
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience with industrial control systems.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues efficiently.
- PLC troubleshooting experience through HMIs and ladder logic.
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Mazak laser systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Familiarity with maintenance software or CMMS systems.
Work Environment
This position operates on the 1st shift in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, where collaboration with various teams is essential. Safety compliance, including lockout/tagout procedures, is a priority.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Connersville, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
