Dock Worker Clerk - Part Time

Old Dominion Freight Line is currently recruiting for a Dock Worker Clerk. A Dock Worker Clerk will provide clerical support to the Dock Supervisor to assist in operating a productive shift.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide administrative support and assistance to the Dock Supervisor to assist with high levels of productivity and smooth operations

+ Prepare and maintain daily paperwork to move freight including DOT files to ensure confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness

+ Prepare a variety of documents and reports using AS400 and SAP

+ Photograph the loading quality of all trailers

+ Assists with coordinating freight, information and people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency while minimizing duplication of effort

+ Notify the Supervisor of load cut times and assist in ensuring they are met

+ Assist the Supervisor in taking all necessary steps in the closeout preparation of a trailer

+ Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers

Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

+ 1 year of office and/or operations experience, preferably in the transportation industry

+ Experience in using handheld computers/scanners

+ Proficiency with AS400, SAP and Microsoft Office

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Detail oriented
