Process Engineer – Protective Films & Coatings
We’re looking for a hands-on, innovative Process Engineer to lead coating and materials manufacturing from development through commercialization. In this role, you’ll drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and New Product Development.

What You’ll DoLead Safety & Quality
- Champion a strong safety culture and conduct risk assessments on equipment and processes.
- Establish and maintain documented run conditions and ensure process data supports quality and traceability.
Optimize Processes & Drive Improvement
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost throughput, reduce costs, and improve coating performance.
- Analyze process data and run DOEs/trials to implement controlled process enhancements.
- Identify and execute machine and process upgrades in partnership with engineering and maintenance.
Support Operations & New Product Development
- Collaborate daily with production teams to troubleshoot, improve asset performance, and ensure consistent product quality.
- Lead plant implementation for new coating products and technologies.
- Contribute to Cap Ex planning, including ROI/payback analysis.
Develop People & Culture
- Provide training and guidance to operators and technical teams.
- Cultivate a high‑performing, collaborative environment focused on innovation and customer needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical preferred)
- – OR – 10+ years of industrial engineering experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience in process engineering
- 3+ years working with coating and converting processes
, including solvent‑based environments - Strong technical understanding of coatings: formulation, application, performance testing
- Proven track record bringing innovative products to market
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Comfort working hands-on with tools, meters, and plant equipment
- Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and work on the production floor
