Process Engineer

• Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production and quality problems through identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes, including process analysis, and applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, materials, consulting suppliers and operators.
• Refine and enhance processes by applying continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing/production principles to areas of production. Recommend product changes and improvements.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Coordinate input from multiple teams, make recommendations, and implement changes.
• Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements. Determine root causes of failure using scientific methods such as design of experiments and SPC that may lead to changes in design, tolerances, or processing methods.
• Identify and implement solutions for safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction issues.
• Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes and engineering procedures, and prepare reports summarizing analyzed process information and trends.
• Partner with maintenance on the development, improvement, and auditing of preventative maintenance programs; provide daily support for problem solving and introduction of new techniques and skills.
• Assist in the development of quality assurance plans by conducting risk analyses; identify critical control points and preventative measures; establish critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures.

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing engineering.

• Basic Lean Training – Certificate of training.
• 5‑7 years of related experience.
• PLC Programming – Basic knowledge of ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting.
• Practical knowledge of manufacturing and production engineering principles, concepts, and general business operations; ability to create detailed work instructions from engineering blueprints; familiarity with creating standard work documents.
• Strong math and computer skills; experience with CAD software (AutoCAD and 3D modeling) required for creating process prints, designing tools, fixtures, and gauges.

Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, ability to use basic measuring tools, and hands‑on capabilities to work on projects without supervision.
