The Process Engineer is a key technical member of the Process Engineering Team and R&D team, reporting to the Technical Manager. This role is responsible for implementing process improvement projects and supporting the implementation of World Class Manufacturing. Responsibilities include coordinating, monitoring, and analyzing mixer trials to ensure product formulas can be processed and manufactured to meet customer needs and requirements.

Job Responsibilities
- Provides technical leadership for qualifying product formulas for Conover facility.
- Manages standard start-up systems.
- Conducts process audits and troubleshoots process related problems.
- Monitors all Mixing Lab functions.
- Gathers data, performs root cause analysis and applies appropriate problem-solving techniques to lead process improvement.
- Participates in process improvement projects.
- Identify and implement corrective actions as required.
- Participates on Early Product Management (EPM) Pillar to drive continuous improvement plant activities.
- Leads relevant cost reduction projects to support cost reduction and plant profitability.
- Supports product enhancement and new product development.
- Advise the plant regarding raw material replacements and consolidation.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field required.
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to excel in a cross-cultural, global team environment.
- Possesses professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Can work independently and multi-task in fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office application, AIMS and SAP.
- Understanding of Rubber & Thermoplastic polymer chemistries is preferred.
- Solid understanding of statistical process control and world class manufacturing techniques.
- Background around rubber processing equipment & processes:
Banbury Mixers, Mills, & Extruders is preferred. - Armacell will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. The expected compensation range for this role is $80,000.00 -$95,000.00.
