JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary of Performance Expectations:
The CDM Analyst plays a crucial role in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management. This position will be responsible for assisting the Audit CDM Coordinator in maintaining the Charge Master and ensuring the list of billable services is accurate and compliant. The analyst will stay current on industry standards, legal mandates, and reporting requirements. The CDM Analyst will work with hospital departments on their Charge Masters and provide education and training as needed, monitor proper CDM coding and charge capture to maximize reimbursement, evaluate and update billing and claim rules, and report on the financial impact of billing practices.
- Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Two years related experience working in a hospital business office, managed‑care company, or hospital/physician coding department
- Knowledge of medical clinical documentation requirements
- CPC – Certified Professional Coder, bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Knowledge of third‑party payer reimbursement requirements
