Summary of Performance Expectations
Promotes a professional patient-centered practice image by efficiently performing a wide variety of clinical and/or administrative duties to medical office outpatients under the direct supervision of a licensed physician or licensed advanced practice provider (APP). Serves an important role on the care team to assist the physician or APP with outcome‑based patient care. Utilizes a team‑based approach to all tasks.
Required- Education & Credentials:
Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assisting or certification as a Medical Assistant, or completion of a Paramedic degree or certification program. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of employment date. - Work Experience:
No experience required. Given training and on‑the‑job experience, the incumbent should be proficient in basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience
