If you’re a buyer who thrives in fast‑moving frozen categories — fries, vegetables, fruit, baked goods, ice cream — this role puts you at the center of a high‑volume distribution network that feeds restaurants, healthcare, hospitality, and more. You’ll shape purchasing strategy, manage supplier relationships, and ensure customers get the frozen products they rely on every day.

• Purchase frozen grocery items from national and regional suppliers
• Track market conditions, pricing trends, and commodity movement
• Negotiate pricing, freight, terms, and delivery schedules
• Maintain strong in‑stock levels while minimizing shrink and aging
• Evaluate suppliers, pack sizes, and product alternatives
• Build strong vendor relationships and resolve quality or delivery issues
• Support sales with product and pricing information
• Partner with operations on receiving, rotation, slotting, and handling
• Communicate market updates and supply disruptions
• Use ERP/procurement systems to manage orders, inventory, and pricing
• Analyze data and prepare reports on cost trends and category performance

• High School Diploma/GED (Associate or Bachelor’s preferred)
• 2+ years purchasing frozen groceries (fries, vegetables, fruit, baked goods, ice cream, etc.)
• Strong understanding of specs, supplier dynamics, and market behavior
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor‑management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office + ERP/procurement systems
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
