If you’re a buyer who thrives in fast-moving frozen categories - fries, vegetables, fruit, baked goods, ice cream - this role puts you at the center of a high-volume distribution network that feeds restaurants, healthcare, hospitality, and more. You’ll shape purchasing strategy, manage supplier relationships, and ensure customers get the frozen products they rely on every day.

- Purchase frozen grocery items from national and regional suppliers
- Track market conditions, pricing trends, and commodity movement
- Negotiate pricing, freight, terms, and delivery schedules
- Maintain strong in-stock levels while minimizing shrink and aging
- Evaluate suppliers, pack sizes, and product alternatives
- Build strong vendor relationships and resolve quality or delivery issues
- Support sales with product and pricing information
- Partner with operations on receiving, rotation, slotting, and handling
- Communicate market updates and supply disruptions
- Use ERP/procurement systems to manage orders, inventory, and pricing
- Analyze data and prepare reports on cost trends and category performance
- High School Diploma/GED (Associate or Bachelor’s preferred)
- 2+ years purchasing frozen groceries (fries, vegetables, fruit, baked goods, ice cream, etc.)
- Strong understanding of specs, supplier dynamics, and market behavior
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office + ERP/procurement systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
