Night Shift Position 2-2-3 Schedule
• Manually loads a variety of materials into various recycling machines to meet established goals utilizing forklift/ pallet jack/ hand tools/ power tools into empty storage bins/boxes.
• Maintain consistent feed of material into machine.
• Assist Recycling operator when necessary.
• Complete necessary paperwork throughout the shift. (Production Data, Whiteboard, PM Log, etc.)
• Maintains a clean and organized work area, assisting with machine cleaning and operator PMs.
• Inspect the quality of incoming materials at the machine and notify lead / supervisor of any non-conformities.
• Follows process for verification of raw materials and ability to identify different types of scrap.
• Properly label finished goods and stage material accordingly with forklift/ pallet jack.
• Attends and participates in meetings at shift change, and month-end inventories when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands/Requirements
• Must be able to stand, stoop, reach, grasp, sit or stand for long periods of time, and lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. safely.
• Noise level in materials area at times can be loud and requires hearing protection.
• Must be willing and able to abide by all safety policies including LOTO.
• Day or night shift; rotating 12-hour shifts, resulting in 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next week; every other weekend. Work is required on most holidays.
• Adherence to GMP's, SOP's, and 6S requirements.
Requirements
• Attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Have a general understanding of work areas:
Extrusion, Granulation, and Compounding.
• Ability to perform basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Extrusion, shredding, grinding background a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal communications.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective and efficient time management, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Obtain forklift license through Axjo training program to perform jobs as required.
• Ability to use basic hand / power tools following safety guidelines.
