The Assembler/Packer position is responsible for assembling components per approved engineering drawings and packing filters, maintaining 6S standards, and ensuring product quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Follow basic assembly/packing instructions, processes and procedures.
- Maintain process cycle time to keep pace with established standards.
- Consistently assemble and pack throughout the work shift.
- Visually inspect filters for any defects.
- Work on feet for the entire shift.
- Report any issues, malfunction or defective parts to the Group Leader.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Willing to cross‑train and work in all production areas based on the needs of the business.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment, meeting production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Availability for overtime on a daily/weekly basis.
- Cross‑train in other positions within the facility as needed.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Operate Pleater machine, checking for correct slab size and quality.
- Operate production machinery.
- Support production assembly as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of stable work history.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Effective spoken English to management and employees.
- Basic math skills including measuring tape, multiplication, calculator, fractions.
- Requires standing, walking, and repetitive hand and arm movements for at least 4 hours continuously.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The role is performed in office, warehouse, and plant environments requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The employee must access and navigate various departments within the organization’s facilities.
