Job Title
Fabric and Leather Material Handler
Job SummaryEnsures fabric and leather are stored properly and delivers the required material to cutting areas on schedule, working closely with receiving and manufacturing teams.
Compensation & HoursNon‑exempt – Full Time – Hourly. Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Keep fabric and leather storage area neat and organized.
- Maintain correct fabric and leather at the machines and cutting tables per the schedule.
- Work closely with receiving and manufacturing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in receiving.
- Preferred experience in furniture manufacturing.
- Minimum education:
less than high school.
Preferred education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - Ability to read a production ticket and material tag.
- Strong math skills.
- Team player and reliable.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Own reliable transportation.
- Availability for weekends and overtime.
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Obtain forklift/platform/order picker certification.
- Work at heights up to 35 ft.
- Stand or walk for at least 8 hours per day.
- Work in a heated and cooled manufacturing plant with concrete floors.
- Good vision.
- Wear required PPE: safety glasses and closed‑toe/heel shoes when required.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries.
