Job Purpose
Inspect finished sewing projects to ensure a quality product was produced.
Job Details- Job Title: Sewing Inspector
- Salary: Non-Exempt – Full Time
- Location: Arhaus Upholstery – Conover, NC
- Weekly
Hours:
Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime as needed) - Department: Sewing
- Reports To: Sewing Supervisor
Perform visual inspection of finished product to ensure:
- ½ “ seams
- Stitches are straight
- No skipped stitches
- Piece is sewn to specifications
- No holes or flaws in the fabric/leather
- Measure welt for correct length using a ruler
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

Minimum Experience Requirements: Manufacturing Experience.
Preferred Experience Requirements: Experience in furniture manufacturing.

Education Requirements:
Less than High School.
Preferred
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to read a ruler.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues.
- Strict attention to detail.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must have own reliable transportation.
- Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
- Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
- Must be reliable.
- Must have strong English language skills, including: reading, comprehending, speaking, writing, and communication.
Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as safety glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.
Must be able to adhere to all safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
