Sewing Inspector

Job Purpose

Inspect finished sewing projects to ensure a quality product was produced.

• Location: Arhaus Upholstery – Conover, NC

  Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime as needed)
• Department: Sewing
• Reports To: Sewing Supervisor

Perform visual inspection of finished product to ensure:

• ½ “ seams
• Stitches are straight
• No skipped stitches
• Piece is sewn to specifications
• No holes or flaws in the fabric/leather
• Measure welt for correct length using a ruler
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

Minimum Experience Requirements: Manufacturing Experience.

Preferred Experience Requirements: Experience in furniture manufacturing.

Education Requirements:

Less than High School.

Preferred

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Must be able to read a ruler.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues.
• Strict attention to detail.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
• Must be reliable.
• Must have strong English language skills, including: reading, comprehending, speaking, writing, and communication.

Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as safety glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.

Must be able to adhere to all safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
