Custom Print Production Specialist, Inkjet UV Printer Operator

R.L. Williams Company is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Custom Print Production Specialist to operate our printer and produce customized logo shields for our customers and Sales Team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology, graphic files, and production equipment. The schedule can range from part-time to full-time, with flexibility in the days and hours worked. Training on our equipment, systems, and processes will be provided.

• Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Team to produce customized logo shields that support customer and sales needs.
• Review and process customized logo shield orders through the R.L. Williams application.
• Organize and prioritize daily print orders to consistently meet a five-business-day turnaround goal.
• Prepare customer artwork and logo files for production using graphic-design, image-editing, and printer software.
• Review artwork for image quality, sizing, positioning, resolution, color accuracy, and print readiness.
• Communicate professionally with customers and Sales Team members when artwork revisions or approvals are needed.
• Set up and operate the Inkjet UV printer, including loading materials, selecting print settings, positioning artwork, and monitoring print jobs.
• Inspect completed shields for color accuracy, alignment, clarity, consistency, and overall quality.
• Reprint or correct products that do not meet established quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production, material-usage, waste, and completed-order records.
• Provide Purchasing with accurate information regarding shield usage and inventory needs.
• Perform required daily, weekly, and monthly printer cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor ink, cleaning supplies, shields, and other production materials.
• Identify routine printing or equipment issues and coordinate with technical support when assistance is needed.
• Keep the printing and production area clean, organized, and safe.

• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn multiple software applications.
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Flexi, or similar graphic-design and print-production software is preferred.
• Familiarity with raster and vector artwork, including PDF, EPS, AI, SVG, PNG, and JPEG files, is helpful.
• Experience operating a UV printer, digital flatbed printer, wide-format printer, or similar production equipment is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to evaluate artwork resolution, dimensions, alignment, color, and overall print quality.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple orders and meet established turnaround expectations.
• Comfortable performing routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate production and inventory records.
• Dependable, self-directed, and able to work effectively with limited supervision.
• Willingness to learn new equipment, software, and production processes.
